Changjiu Logistics [SHA:603569] has just announced acquisition by its wholly-owned sub-subsidiary “Poland Changjiu”, who just purchased a 30% stake in ADAMPOL S.A for 18.3 million euros. The Acquisition will make Adampol a joint venture between the Changjiu and the South Korean Hyundai Motor Group’s unit Glovis Europe.
ADAMPOL S.A was established in Białystok, Poland in 1990. It is engaged mainly in automobile logistics, pre-delivery quality inspection, warehousing, international railway station operations, ro-ro terminal services, car rental, and maintenance, with its business covering Poland, Spain, Belgium, Russia, and other European countries. It has about 400 transport vehicles and a total storage area of about 400,000 square meters.
Through this investment, Changjiu Logistics aims to establish a long-term international logistics operation network and provide supporting logistics services for Chinese domestic automakers and independent auto brands to enter the international market. It also provides strong logistics support for foreign and joint venture auto brands and uses China as a global production base in a reverse export model.
For Changjiu Logistics, the Małaszewicze Terminal in Poland is an important transshipment center in Europe, especially in the international railway transportation mode with “China-Europe Railway Express” as the core strategic product. The acquisition is conducive to the company’s further utilization of the advantages of China-Europe freight trains and the expansion of the European automotive logistics market, creating good conditions for the development of both eastbound and westbound railway import and export business of automobiles, parts, and commodities.
Changjiu Logistics currently has direct cooperation with global OEMs such as Volkswagen Group Logistics, BMW, Renault, Volvo, etc., and has developed international business with Chery, Geely, FAW, Changan, and other customers in China.
